Volkswagen Multivan

Passenger transport rarely involves the same combination of people and luggage every day, so flexibility matters. The Multivan uses a modular seating system with room for up to seven people, while the five rear seats can be repositioned or removed depending on the journey. The second row can also be turned rearwards to create a face-to-face arrangement with optional conference packages. Luggage capacity starts from 469 litres and can increase considerably when seats are removed. In the long-wheelbase version with panoramic glass roof, total load capacity can reach up to 4,053 litres.  

When a vehicle is regularly carrying colleagues, clients or passengers, interior comfort becomes part of the overall experience. The Multivan combines a spacious cabin with a car-like driving feel, premium-quality materials and an ergonomically arranged cockpit. Flexible, lightweight seats make it easier to change the interior layout, while optional comfort seats can add memory and massage functions. A movable multifunction table can be positioned between different seating rows or used as a centre console between the front seats, providing useful storage and a practical surface for working while travelling.

The Multivan is available with petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The eHybrid 4MOTION combines a 1.5 TSI engine with an electric motor and offers up to 57 miles of pure electric driving under official test conditions, with petrol power available for longer journeys. It also provides all-wheel drive and towing capacity of up to 1,600kg. Petrol and diesel versions are available with seven-speed DSG automatic transmissions and can tow up to 2,000kg.

Adaptive Cruise Control helps maintain a set distance from the vehicle ahead, while Lane Assist can intervene if the Multivan starts to leave its lane unintentionally. Front Assist monitors for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles, and Car2X can provide warnings about congestion, roadworks and accidents. A 10-inch Digital Cockpit and 10-inch infotainment display keep key driving and vehicle information easy to access.

The Multivan comes with two sliding doors as standard, giving passengers convenient access from either side of the vehicle. The available Easy Open Package adds Keyless Access and allows compatible doors to be opened or closed with a foot movement when the key is carried by the user.
