Volkswagen Amarok

When your operation involves towing, carrying loads or regularly travelling across demanding terrain, having sufficient power in reserve makes a real difference. The Amarok's 3.0-litre V6 TDI diesel engine produces 240PS and 600Nm of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and 4MOTION all-wheel drive.

For businesses working away from established roads, vehicle capability can directly affect whether people and equipment reach the job efficiently. The Amarok uses 4MOTION all-wheel drive alongside driving modes designed for different conditions, including settings for mud and ruts, sand, slippery surfaces and load or trailer operation.  

Its longer wheelbase and shorter relative overhangs also support improved off-road ability, while a fording depth of up to 800mm adds further capability in difficult environments.

A pick-up needs to earn its place in a business fleet. The Amarok combines a load bed measuring around 1.62 metres long with payload capacity of up to 1,050kg, while the space between its wheel housings can accommodate a Euro pallet crosswise. Practical lashing points help secure equipment during transport.  

Automatic Amarok models can also tow up to 3.5 tonnes, helping businesses move trailers, plant and other equipment between locations. A dedicated load and trailer driving mode adjusts transmission behaviour when additional weight is being carried, helping the vehicle make better use of its available performance.

Capability matters, but so does the environment drivers spend their working day in. The Amarok's extended wheelbase provides more space in the double cab, including improved rear passenger legroom.  

Inside, the Amarok combines physical controls with modern digital technology, including a Digital Cockpit and vertically mounted infotainment display. Smartphone integration and connected services help drivers stay informed and connected between jobs.

Drivers may take the Amarok from motorways and busy town centres to construction sites and narrow rural routes in the same working day. Its driver assistance systems are designed to make those changing environments easier to manage. 

Available technology includes adaptive cruise control, lane assist, front assist, side assist, parking assistance and an area view camera system that can provide a 360-degree view around the vehicle. These systems can support drivers when maintaining distance, changing lanes, manoeuvring or identifying obstacles.
