A More Comfortable Passenger Experience

The Transporter Shuttle provides a spacious cabin and can be specified with features including three-zone air conditioning, a Harman Kardon sound system and a large panoramic roof. The 13-inch infotainment touchscreen provides a central point for media functions, while the panoramic roof can make the passenger area feel lighter and more open.

Flexible Seating for Passengers, Luggage and Equipment

Passenger transport often changes from one journey to the next, particularly when luggage or bulky equipment is involved. The Transporter Shuttle is designed to adapt. Six seats are fitted in the passenger compartment as standard, with three individual second-row seats that can fold, roll and be removed using quick-release fasteners. The third-row three-seat bench can also fold down or be removed. With the seating reconfigured, the vehicle can provide up to 4,343 litres of storage space.  

Choose the Powertrain Around Your Operation

Different passenger operations have different route profiles, so one powertrain will not suit every business. The Transporter Shuttle is offered with turbodiesel, eHybrid and all-electric options, giving operators more choice when balancing range, journey type and day-to-day efficiency. Manual and automatic transmissions are available, while the all-electric version offers a combined WLTP range of up to 218 miles, depending on specification.  

Technology That Supports the Working Day

The Transporter Shuttle combines a configurable 12-inch instrument display with a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen, DAB+ radio and wireless App Connect. VW Connect can also link the vehicle with a smartphone for access to selected services and functions. Practical connectivity extends throughout the cabin, with seven USB sockets in the cab and six in the passenger compartment as standard, plus an optional wireless charging pad. 

Extra Carrying Capacity When You Need It

When the Transporter Shuttle’s internal storage is not enough, optional towing equipment can extend its carrying capability, with towing capacity of up to 2.5 tonnes. Operators can choose between rigid and electrically retractable towing brackets, depending on how the vehicle will be used.  

THE VOLKSWAGEN 5 PLUS PROMISE

The VW Transporter is supported by the Volkswagen 5 Plus Promise, helping businesses plan ahead and protect vehicle uptime. 

For eligible Transporter models, the package includes: 

  • Five services and three MOTs 
  • A five-year warranty 
  • Five years of roadside assistance 

Fully electric vehicles receive three services and three MOTs. The warranty applies for five years or 124,000 miles, whichever comes first, with limitations, exclusions and terms and conditions applying.
