Founded in 2020 by Anthony Tattersall, Darcica Logistics emerged during the pandemic with a clear purpose: to help modernise the transport industry while placing people and the planet at the heart of its operations. Named after his daughters, Darcey and Jessica, the company has embedded sustainability into its identity from the outset.
Darcica began its decarbonisation journey in 2022 with the introduction of one of the UK’s first electric pallet delivery vehicles. Since then, the company has pursued a structured roadmap to net zero, trialling a range of electric HGV’s, including the Volta Zero, Renault, and multiple DAF trucks.
As a member of the Palletways network, Darcica operates routes that are well-suited to electrification. Its pallet collections and deliveries average around 100 miles per day, while six nightly trunk routes to London and Birmingham align with the capabilities of emerging electric tractor units offering ranges exceeding 300 miles.

Based in Oxfordshire—home to the UK’s first Zero Emission Zone—Darcica now operates thirteen electric vehicles (over 30% of its fleet). Supported by a young and developing team of HGV drivers, the company has cultivated strong engagement with its sustainability goals, with drivers reporting highly positive experiences operating electric vehicles.
Following the opening of a second depot in early 2026, Darcica has continued its expansion with the addition of new electric trucks, including a 42-tonne DAF XF 350 FT and an 19-tonne DAF XB 190 FA.

Darcica have chosen the award winning DAF XF FT 350 4×2 electric tractor unit for use on their runs to the Palletways Hub. The driver will have all the comfort and safety features synonymous with the New Generation DAF, highlights include the kerb door window, DAF Digital Vision System, City Safety package and DAF Corner View. The 350kW motor has access to 525kWh of energy giving a range of up to 500Km or 300 miles. The efficiency of the driveline will be monitored through their free subscription to Paccar Connect. The truck has the flexibility to charge at up to 325kW DC or 22kW AC.
A new DAF XB FA 190 19t electric rigid complete with the Paccar curtain side body and tuck under tail lift, joins an identical vehicle that Anthony acquired through DAF’s early adapter programme. By choosing a factory built body, Darcica get the benefit of shorter build times, consistency across the fleet and support for an integrated chassis and body warranty. The 190kW motor delivers consistent and smooth torque in almost silence, making the drivers job easier and more enjoyable. A battery pack size of 282kWh gives a range of up to 250km or 150 miles, more than enough for most pallet network operations. Again, the truck can be charged via both DC and AC charger at 150kW and 22kW respectively.
Both trucks will be looked after via the DAF MultiSupport Repair and Maintenance contract.

The company has also become the latest operator to embrace vehicle repowering, placing an order for diesel-to-electric truck with conversion specialists NewPower.
While upfront costs remain higher, Darcica is committed to long-term environmental progress, supported by government incentives. Its continued investment reflects a firm belief that sustainable logistics is essential to the future of the industry.
