Managing Director of (Milton Keynes) Limited
I am a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant, and joined Brian Currie Milton Keynes Limited almost fifteen years ago, initially as Finance & IT Director, however, since 2017 this has been as Joint Managing Director.
I started my career in finance at Audi Volkswagen in Milton Keynes. After five years there I decided to further my career and joined Texas Instruments in Bedford where I stayed for thirteen years carrying out a variety of finance and business roles both in the UK and abroad. From there I worked for Cooper Standard Automotive in their International Division supporting both the Sealing and Fluid divisions. Having travelled a lot in my previous roles, I decided I wanted to stay closer to home, although not sure the family totally agreed.
I have thoroughly enjoyed all the opportunities and challenges, which these roles have provided, but mainly as they have allowed me to work with different cultures around the globe, and meet with some great individuals and teams along the way.
These roles and experiences, hopefully moulded me into more than just a “bean counter” or “geek”! However, for those that feel the need to comment this can be sent to me on the back of a £50 note.

Managing Director of Brian Currie (Milton Keynes) Ltd
I started my career at Banks Truck Centre in Bedford as a DAF Apprentice HGV Technician in 1995.
Following successful completion of my apprenticeship I worked on various shift patterns as a Technician and then onto DAFaid breakdowns and recoveries.
Working my way up to Shift Supervisor on both day and nightshifts and then Workshop Foreman.
Brian Currie (Milton Keynes) Ltd purchased our Bedford depot in 2004 and I remained there being promoted to Service Manager in 2006.
In 2007 I took on the Management of another VMU that we had been successful in winning the tender for.
My career with Brian Currie’s continued to grow and I became Group Service Manager – Service Director, Aftersales Director and then since 2017 have been Joint Managing Director with Des.
We have a fantastic team and continue to develop and grow with plenty more opportunities on the horizon!
Truck Sales Manager
Richard Stevens our DAF Truck Sales Manager started his truck sales career in 1995 and joined Brian Currie Milton Keynes in 2012, he gained promotion as Truck Sales Manager in 2016.
Richard is an old school ‘truck nut’ having spent many hours when he was a schoolboy travelling the length and breadth of the country with his father in his lorry.
Richards passion in later years wasn’t the driving but soon realised that selling them was a better, cleaner and more exciting option.
Over the years Richard’s recognition with DAF has seen him achieve top performing sales dealer awards and incentives over the last few years.
Outside of the job Richard enjoys watching football, playing indoor and outdoor bowls and socialising with his friends and family, he enjoys holidaying and visiting new destinations.
Nicknamed in the industry as “Turbo” Richard’s initials are RS and when Ford launched the RS Turbo, This then became his Nickname.
